Dopamine Land is the new immersive art experience that arrived in London in April 2022, provides experiences each stimulating different senses and bringing back childhood imagination to adult kids.
Dopamine Land
Dopamine Land (which we featured earlier in the year in our interactive and immersive experiences not to miss article) falls into the ‘immersive’ category of art installation, meaning that from the moment you enter the experience you will be interacting with it. The exhibition is structured as a series of rooms that you are guided through, each stimulating different senses and bringing joy, excitement, happiness…and ultimately a rush of dopamine.
The Dopamine Land journey begins proper in the popcorn room (though do note the musical arches on your way to check into the exhibition). Help yourself to a bag of vegan, sweet-and-salty popcorn, relax on a. Bean bag chair wand watch a video of popcorn building up to a crescendo climax explosion.
Some of our other highlights through Dopamine Land were the Infinite Karma room, an entirely mirrored room with a beautiful landscape of constantly changing lights – an Instagramer’s dream. The Smile! room is a great place for selfies within a 3D environment in which to set yourself up with optional props. Those wanting Lucid Dreams will enjoy this room’s ASMR (auto sensory meridian response) concept providing hypnotic video projections alongside gentle soothing sounds. The penultimate room is the Pillow Fight! where you can safely release your inhibitions to settle some childhood scores with a friendly pillow fight.
To round off the experience the Bubble Tea Bar is a great place to unwind with its own smaller sensory experience spaces perfect for selfies (like recreating Miley Cyrus’ wrecking ball moment). The bar itself offers a selection of bubble tea, with optional added shots of alcohol, and four bubble bar cocktails, we recommend the earl Grey and Lychee Martini.
Adult tickets priced from £17.50. Child, family and group tickets are also available, with availability currently until early July 2022.
Dopamine Land is located at 79-85 Old Brompton Road, South Kensington, London, SW7 3LD
Tickets are available to book from dopaminelandexperience.com.
