TRADE 2WENTY 4OUR Interview: Tom Stephan

Reggie Myers

Being a regular guest at TRADE, are you looking forward to playing there on their 24th Birthday on 25 October at Egg London, and what have been your favourite TRADE club memories over this period?

The first TRADE Birthday two years ago was such an amazing event- I think we’re all planning to smash that one on October 25th!

Will you have any exclusive new tracks to drop at the birthday event and what can the TRADE crowd expect from your set?

I’m always working on something. Whether it’s a production or a remix, finished or (most likely!!) still a work in progress, I’ll be testing out the latest beats at TRADE. Also, DJing with Traktor gives me so much flexibility to mess around with tracks, that different crowds inspire me to do different things with tracks – extend them, mess with them, loop them, destroy them –  that no two sets I play are ever the same.

Is there anyone you are looking forward to catching at TRADE 2WENTY 4OUR: The Longest Birthday and why?

Always look forward to hearing my TRADE faces Smokin Jo, Daz Saund, Malcolm Duffy and Steven Sharp Boys, but I’m also looking forward to checking out the Filterheadz!

And before you leave us, can you tell us something you think we should all be listening to before we head out the door to TRADE 2WENTY 4OUR: The Longest Birthday?

You should warming yourself up to my live mixes on my Soundcloud page!

Don’t miss Tom Stephan spinning TRADE Modern at TRADE 2WENTY 4OUR: The Longest Birthday at Egg London on Saturday, 25 October. TRADE 2WENTY 4OUR will celebrate The TRADE Collective’s 24th birthday, starting at 2pm with no definite ending time.
