Grammy Award-winning quartet Clean Bandit have unveiled the much anticipated official video for their hit single ‘Tears’.
Clean Bandit have certainly established themselves in the charts, with their epic summer anthem ‘Rather Be’ becoming an instant classic as soon as it was released. Now Clean Bandit have teamed up with last year’s X Factor winner, Louisa Johnson for their latest sonic outing.
Like many X Factor winners, Louisa was temporarily off the radar after her win, but she’s certainly come back with a bang with some strong vocals on this perfect summer track. The chart topper has racked up 20 million streams to date. Louisa performed the track on Britain’s Got Talent and its been played everywhere since–it’s definitely a tune we’ll be hearing for the rest of the summer.
‘We always make our own videos, and this one has been an amazing experience. There are zero special effects and we did everything in front of the camera. As you’ll see, there’s a lot of water and fire and even a special guest cameo from the Harry Potter owl, Hedwig! The video conveys the fire you need to find within yourself in order to part from a person you love,’ said bandmember Jack Patterson.
Clean Bandit, who released their debut album New Eyes (Big Beat Records) in 2014, have sold over 12 million singles and 1.6 million albums worldwide, and won a 2015 Grammy for Best Dance Recording for their international smash single ‘Rather Be’ which held #1 global Spotify placement for 7 weeks.
