Amy here! Here are five musical nuggets of goodness and one to definitely avoid.

Route 94 ft. Jess Glynne – My Love

This song is a brilliant start to the stretch of dance music the summer months never fails to bring. Going straight to the top of the charts with his debut, hopefully we’ll see more of this London based DJ.

Cage The Elephant – Come A Little Closer

The band are back with a more commercial, stripped back appeal. It’s far less heavy than their previous material but definitely worth a listen if only to persuade you to check out their back catalogue.

American Authors – Best Day Of My Life

This song has recently been released in the UK after spending months on TV advertising for Hyundia. A feel good pop tune that sticks in your head all day long.

Madness – Wings of A Dove

After watching ’10 Things I Hate About You’ and reminiscing on more 90’s music, I discovered this gem that I never even realised was a Madness song. Definitely worth a singalong after a stressful day.

The Neighbourhood – Sweater Weather

This song has been around for a couple of years in the US but has recently been picked up on the BBC R1 playlist. A relaxed rock song with a catchy hook and interesting vocal. I’m keen to hear further released from them.

And one you don’t:

Pitbull ft. Enrique Iglesais – Freak

No explanation needed. Avoid like the clap.
