Honours: Bulletproof – Review

Simon Blish

Honours are a band who seamlessly blend pop and indie music. ‘Bulletproof’ is their latest single from Killing Moon Records, which is an indie song inspired by 80s pop ballads.

Honours have shown a reputation for clever songwriting talents and catchy choruses from their debut ‘Ready To Run’ and their acclaimed follow-up ‘August’.

This third single, ‘Bulletproof’, showcases the band’s growing maturity and experience. It’s big, bold and delicious – full of reverberating synths, dark breaks and edgy dancefloor cool. Stephen Hughes’ vocals are especially gorgeous.

The band will soon take to the stage for Music Cube at Westfield on 24 October 24. Other acts include London Grammar, Emeli Sande and Sam Smith.

The band will follow this up with a headline show at The Islington on 29 October.

‘Bulletproof’ is yet more proof.
