Misunderstood bring you ‘Trouble’, their debut in-your-face single. The fast-paced rapping and slick vocals evoke thoughts of Chris Brown, as do the boys’ dancing ability. The group recently released the visual for their single, which is as speedy as their song. It’s laced in humour and clever visuals, and whilst ‘Trouble’ may not be everybody’s cup of tea, it’ll likely appeal to the younger generations.
The duo dance their way throughout the visual, though the moves jar somewhat with the hip-hop roots of the track. Dub beats simmer beneath the surface, and yet never truly come to fruition – perhaps this is a hint of where the duo will be going next? If so, I’m sticking with them.
Stephan Benson and Jeffrey Okyere are graduates from BRIT School, which has produced alumni such as Adele, Rizzle Kicks and Amy Winehouse. Their debut track ‘Trouble’ is available on iTunes now.
