With all the drama recently surrounding former One Direction band member Zayn Malik, it’s easy to forget that there are four other members of the band, all of whom have been mostly quiet in the wake of the event. However, that’s changed as they boys went to The Late Late Show wearing some particularly fetching red shorts.
In their first TV appearance since Zayn left the band, the group took part in a special comedy sketch with James Corden, showing the group in a more sporty look.
With his dead-pan delivery, ‘Captain’ Corden turns the four-piece band into a dodgeball team affectionately called Corden’s Angels, in a game against an all-female team known as the Ball Busters.
One Direction also had a chance, during their interview with Corden, to talk about how things have been since Malik left the group on 25 March. One band member commented, ‘We were angry but it’s better now.’
Louis Tomlinson, who was recently in a Twitter feud with Malik over some tweets to producer Naughty Dog, took the opportunity to say that the pair have buried the hatchet again. The boys even got a chance to tease a snippet of their new album, which the band revealed will be coming out this autumn.
