While the fight for equality continues to rage onwards there are still some conservative holdouts who still find homosexuality offensive. This is the attitude taken by one hotel visitor who complained to staff that singer Will Young and his boyfriend were cuddling in public.
Will Young, who first rose to prominence in 2001 in reality talent show Pop Idol, took to Twitter after the incident bemoaning his treatment and was in disbelief that this occurred on the day of Gay Pride:
Would you believe on the day of Gay Pride I have been the victim of homophobia. I am SO mad. #pride2014

Essentially I was asked to stop hugging my boyfriend in a spa because it was offending another 'conservative' (read homophobic) spa visitor

Young opted not to share the name of the hotel in question and no further details regarding these comments have yet come to light.
