Daniel Radcliffe wants to appear in Game of Thrones

In a move destined to rile ‘half-breed’ hater Dolores Umbridge, two franchises with dedicated fanbases may be about to enter into unholy union to produce their uber-geek offspring. Well, okay, not really. But Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has told Digital Spy that he wants to appear on Game of Thrones.

Although nothing is official, and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss haven’t confirmed anything, Radcliffe is so eager to appear in the series that he’s said he’ll take on just about any role to do so – even if it means bloody death within seconds.

Speaking about whether he’d like to appear on the show, he said, ‘I would love to. If they want to just bring me in and fucking kill me, I would be so happy to do that.’

Maybe Radcliffe is confident that, as he gained all three Deathly Hallows in the last HP film, he can master death and rise again? Or perhaps he’s just that much of a fan…

Radcliffe isn’t the only HP actor to want a part in the series, however. Last year, Neville Longbottom actor Matthew Lewis also expressed an urge to star in the grim fantasy drama.

‘I just worked with Emilia Clarke, she was like, “They’re going to be doing some new casting.” I was like, “Right, well, why don’t you tell them I’m free and I can come and do it,”’ he said in an interview with Yahoo.

‘I’ve seen a bit of the first season and a bit of the second, and I’ve read all the books, so I’m a big fan of the story. I’d definitely jump at a chance to be involved in that.’
