Netflix’s Daredevil looks quite brilliant

Netflix and Marvel Studios have released some teasing images of their upcoming Daredevil miniseries. It stars Charlie Cox as the titular character, a blinded boy imbued with superhuman senses and it surprisingly sounds brilliant.

Reportedly inspired by the original artwork by John Romita Jr., the images show Charlie Cox clad in a black costume and looking rather dapper in a suit. Colour Vada interested.

Four new stars have been confirmed for the new series, joining Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple) and Vincent D’Onofrio. Joining them are Ayelet Zurer (Vanessa Marianna), Vondie Curtis Hall (Ben Urich), Bob Gunton (Leland Owlsley) and Toby Leonard Moore (Wesley). All of these are important roles from the comic series.

Daredevil premiers in 2015, and will be followed by a Jessica Jones series, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. These will come together in one final miniseries titled The Defenders. Inevitably if this succeeds it’ll lead to a crossover with The Avengers movie series.

Whatever the case, Daredevil can’t really be any worse than the movie of the same name.
