Exciting news, Vada readers! We’re delighted to announce that Vada is teaming up with two distributors (Peccadillo Pictures & Network) to bring you four film competitions with exciting DVDs to be won throughout the whole of October!

As part of Vada’s giveaway month we wanted to give our amazing readers the chance to get their hands on several films in the next four weeks. They’ll be covering a range of different themes and topics, so there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in our great giveaways!

Peccadillo & Vada present: Les Invisibles

Vada’s month of film competitions begins with the lauded French documentary Les Invisibles, brought to you by Peccadillo Pictures. It’s a heartwarming compilation of 11 men and women who have only one thing in common… their sexuality. The film explores a number of men and women born between the two world wars, who speak about their brave decision to be open about their sexuality when society didn’t accept them.

Les Invisibles has been described by legendary film critic Philip French as “a revealing, deeply moving piece of work”, whereas the Little White Lies review say that it’s “passionate people speaking openly about their lives and loves . . . stirring stuff.” It’s also 100% fresh on critic-comparison site Rotten Tomatoes, and has won a number of awards including Best Documentary at the Paris Lesbian Film Festival.
