3. Angel Olsen – All Mirrors
All Mirrors could be Angel Olsen’s imaginary soundtrack to Sunset Boulevard, an old story that never loses it relevance with ghosts, identity breakdown and the subsequent loss of power.
Angel of course plays Norma Desmond and brings a 14-piece orchestra along for the ride with elements of glam rock, electro pop and ambient drones. Reinvention of the year.
