At a special event games producer Blizzard revealed the release date for their latest expansion for World of Warcraft, known as Warlords of Draenor.
The announcement came in addition to the release of the new expansion’s cinematic opening which gave players a taste of the expansion’s new enemy The Iron Horde, which we have kindly provided for you to look at too!
The story of World of Warcraft has stretched onwards for years, but in this latest expansion fans of the lore will see their familiar story warped as long time series antagonist Garrosh Hellscream travels back into the past and seeks to raise a new and more powerful army to claim the world of Azeroth for his own.
Long time fans of the series will recognise popular characters such as the warlock Gul’dan, and the powerful Horde leader Grom Hellscream as well as a cameo from the demonic Pit Lord Mannaroth.
The expansion now has a firm release date of 13 November 2014 all over the world, only a short time before the game’s 10 year anniversary as it was launched in North America on 23 November 2004.
While the subscriber base has taken something of a downward turn this new release holds a lot of promise and may well tempt former players to return to the game world as they face the Iron Horde in their home realm of Draenor.
