Dark Souls III, one of two of my hotly anticipated JRPGs of 2016 (the other being Final Fantasy XV) just got the Eli Roth treatment. See what he has to say about his latest twisted piece below.
In an original animated short, The Witches, Roth perfectly captures the overwhelming hopelessness and terror that Dark Souls fans have come to love. All to big up the upcoming release of Dark Souls III, launching worldwide in just two weeks!
I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of Roth’s films – I’m a huge horror film fan but I prefer substance in the story, not in the gore (and Hostel is the only film to have ever made me feel physically ill). This trailer is no less gory and wince-inducing, but as far as Dark Souls goes it’s pretty spot on.
Plus, I have a soft spot for animated media. Well done, Roth, you got me.

Dark Souls III launches for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC worldwide April 12th 2016.
