Tomorrow, Conde Nast’s LGBT platform Them will publish Lindsey Dryden’s three-part documentary, Trans in America. The Oscar-nominated Dryden produces the show, which follows three trans people as they fight for LGBT rights in America.

The families at the heart of these episodes face the realities of Trump’s America, including imprisonment, bathroom bills and injustices in housing and employment. The families are based in Georgia, Illinois and Texas.

Dryden is also a Lecturer in Film Production at the University of Gloucestershire. Through her company Little by Little Films, she focuses on minority voices, and mentors many young directors.

Dryden produced Jen Brea’s film Unrest (Sundance, 2017), which explores ME and was shortlisted for an Academy Award. Her work has featured in Vogue and Elle, and been shown on Netflix, PBS and the BBC. She has won awards, hit cinemas around the world, and screened at over 50 festivals.

Watch Trans in America at Conde Nast from 24 October 2018.
