So it’s not an official trailer with actual new footage (what’s up with that HBO? You’re usually on point with these sort of things), but a new teaser for the upcoming sixth season of Game of Thrones has debuted, and it has coloured Vada intrigued.
The teaser opens in the Hall of Faces which is eerily lit by candlelight. And within the chamber we see the faces and hear the voices of many fallen fan favourites – Ned Stark, Rob Stark, Catelyn Stark, Joffrey Baratheon and… Jon Snow! This teaser, coupled with the first poster for Season 6 that shows a bloody Jon Snow, certainly has us thinking that the bastard has definitely met his maker. But that’s what HBO wants us to think. I’m more than confident that Jon will be back in some capacity.
But that’s not all.
Jon Snow teases us by declaring: ‘The long night is coming – and the dead come with it.’
And then we see six key faces amongst the dead – Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister, Sansa Stark, Arya Stark and Jaime Lannister. Does this mean ANOTHER fan favourite will kick the bucket in the new season? If so, who would you rather died?
Stylistically this teaser is gorgeous, but fans are clamouring for an actual trailer now. Surely it’s only a matter of time?
