Adam Lowe is an award-winning author, editor and publisher from Leeds, now based in Manchester. He runs Dog Horn Publishing and is Director and Writing Coordinator for Young Enigma, a writer development programme for LGBT young people. He sometimes performs as Beyonce Holes.

Afternoon Tea Week was launched to celebrate that wonderful British tradition: cakes, finger sandwiches, and lots of tea (and sometimes booze). Running the second full week of every August, this year’s Afternoon Tea Week starts on 14 August 2017.
The history of the afternoon tea apparently stretches back to Anna, 7th Duchess of Bedford, who would get tired and hungry in the afternoon. She would invite friends to join her for an afternoon stroll in the gardens as part of this ritual and thus a tradition was born.
