Look at that headline picture again. Go on. You liked that, didn’t you? Well so did we.
Vada Magazine tries to cater to all (queer) tastes. Some of us are indie kids, some of us are drag hags, and some of us like a little bit of leather. Well, in order to appease the first and last if these groups, we decided to showcase a biker jacket to suit every occasion – which means plenty of leather. I mean, who doesn’t like leather, right? Well, okay, vegans and animal lovers – but that’s why we’ve thrown in a faux leather jacket too, just for you. (At least we tried.)
If you get a biker jacket, we’re not promising you’ll be as hot as the guy above, but at least you’ll have a snazzy new jacket.
I bought my first biker jacket when I was 19, and I still wear it regularly. My dad had a few which I remember trying on when I was a kid – but my dad’s a real motorbike enthusiast, and so his biker jackets weighed a tonne. When I finally found my own, it had to be just right. It had to be light enough that I wouldn’t feel crushed in it, but with enough weight that it felt (excuse the pun) meaty enough. When you put on a good jacket, you feel the quality of it.
The range we’re including here includes everything from classic vintage asymmetric bikers to more contemporary amplified paparazzi leather bikers. All the jackets on show here are hand selected by our friends over at IL2L.com, and there’s free postage on all of them (which is even better!).
Now, without further ado…
Barneys Vintage Men’s Black Leather Asymmetric Biker Jacket
This asymmetric biker jacket is a versatile marvel. It exudes class and style. Full of vintage quality, this is clearly a premium product, which can only get better with age. It’ll soften with extended wear. It has some great details – such as the silver press studs to the collar with a delicious mustard yellow lining. And look at the zip? Wow!
Hot tip: Whack the vintage factor up a notch by layering your look with this jacket and a shirt which contrasts against the worn leather look. You can raid your wardrobe for old checked shirts and denim, which will be given a new lease of life against this high-calibre jacket. For a more understated look, you could pair this with a subtle T-shirt that doesn’t detract, rounded off with some tasteful jeans and leather boots.

Bench Men’s Black Leather Look Bomber Jacket With Biker Style Tab Fastened Collar
Okay, so this is a bomber, but has a biker-style tab-fastened collar – so what’s the difference, right? Made with style in mind, this jacket is a treat. Providing both impact and structure, the shaped seam detailing of the shoulders features additional diamond stitching across the front and back of the chest. This jacket sports two lower jetted pocket openings too, for a further splash of detail.
Hot tip: This jacket has a unique feel that might take a little while to get used to, but this adds to the deliciousness of wearing it. It’s a snug jacket, particularly around the neckline, and the collarless shape is what makes it stand out. The bomber design was created to keep pilots warm, which makes it perfect for bikers too – especially now that autumn is here.

Barneys Men’s Black Asymmetric Leather Biker Jacket
This jacket stands out and looks like it’s worth a bob or two (as my Nana would say). The cotton body lining gives extra comfort. The shape of this jacket is emphasised through the use of zips, such as the asymmetric zip fastening, diagonal zip pocket to the left chest, angled zip pockets to the lower body, two internal welt pockets to the chest and zipped sleeves. This matched by the tab detail at the collar.
Hot tip: Specialist leather dry clean this garment only. This classy jacket demands a refined look. You should add a touch of flamboyance with straight cut trousers or coloured jeans, matched with a smart shirt. If worn closed, you can show off the structure and shape of the jacket. Wear it open and you can choose a shirt colour that matches your complexion and that will become the feature, framed by the elegance of the jacket.
