Vada Magazine tries to cater to all (queer) tastes. Some of us are indie kids, some of us are drag hags, and some of us like a little bit of leather. Well, in order to appease the first and last if these groups, we decided to showcase a biker jacket to suit every occasion – which means plenty of leather. I mean, who doesn’t like leather, right? Well, okay, vegans and animal lovers – but that’s why we’ve thrown in a faux leather jacket too, just for you. (At least we tried.)
If you get a biker jacket, we’re not promising you’ll be as hot as the guy above, but at least you’ll have a snazzy new jacket.
I bought my first biker jacket when I was 19, and I still wear it regularly. My dad had a few which I remember trying on when I was a kid – but my dad’s a real motorbike enthusiast, and so his biker jackets weighed a tonne. When I finally found my own, it had to be just right. It had to be light enough that I wouldn’t feel crushed in it, but with enough weight that it felt (excuse the pun) meaty enough. When you put on a good jacket, you feel the quality of it.

This great biker from Barneys fuses modern and retro in this snappy design, and it’s lavished with plenty of gorgeous touches. Beautiful but masculine, it has multi-stitch shoulder panels, a tab neck collar with intricate stitching, and vintage silver studs and rivets.
