This Pride month, the American fashion label Fossil has launched a limited edition Pride collection, in support of The Trevor Project. Alongside the new collection, the luxury fashion brand has pledged to donate at least $100,000 to the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organisation for LGBTQ+ youth.

The collection focuses upon a queer reimagining of their best-selling Neutra watches. The two limited edition watches feature a rainbow-coloured ‘LOVE’ graphic, against a silver-tone stainless steel cases and colourful indexes. Each timepiece is paired with either a black or brown leather strap.

The Trevor Project world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organisation for LGBTQ+ young people. The organisation offers round the clock crisis intervention and suicide prevention programmes, namely the telephone and online chat services. They also offer the world’s largest safe space social networking site for queer youth, through TrevorSpace. Additionally, The Trevor Project advocates against anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and policy positions.

Speaking of the collaboration between The Trevor Project and Fossil this Pride month, the charity’s Director of Corporate Partnerships, Shira Kogan said, “As a suicide prevention organisation, it is essential that LGBTQ+ young people know that we’re here to support them year-round, not just in June. In addition to the generous donation, Fossil’s Pride collection – featuring accessories that can be worn all year long – offers a really impactful way to spread love and affirmation to LGBTQ+ youth everywhere, 365 days a year.”

As well as watches, Fossil will be crafting a collection of straps, jewellery and wallets in rainbow-inspired styles to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, as part of its largest Pride collections to date. However, contributions will only reach The Trevor Project from Pride products purchased within the United States.

The label will also be asking their customers to #TakeAMinute, as part of their social media campaign, encouraging people to celebrate and reflect on the importance of allyship towards the queer community.

Fossil’s Pride collection is available on their website and in select Fossil branded retail stores.
