With Summer on its way (sort of), body scrubs are perfect for getting that beach-ready body! Circulating the blood flow, body scrubs are good for any muscle tension and, of course, to get smoother and softer skin. Here is our round up of four of the best body scrubs out there on the market at the moment.

Molton Brown – Warming Eucalyptus and Ginger Body Scrub

This salt-based scrub is perfect for those with muscle tension, aches and pains and if you want a real wake-me-up shower product. Infused with eucalyptus, ginger, rosemary and menthol, it is a strong smelling scrub which is perfect if you just want to get up and go on a crisp Summer morning. The menthol feels really quite cooling on the skin, so it’s a nice respite from having travelled during the London rush hour!

Whilst, personally, I am not a huge fan of eucalyptus, it is more so the rosemary and menthol that you can smell – which is no bad thing. The salt isn’t too harsh either, so you can use it regularly without fear of over-exfoliation. If you are a fan of the scent, it is available in other shower products too.

Lush – Rub, Rub, Rub

Another salt-based product, and bright blue in colour, this is a fantastic everyday body scrub. The fragrance is jasmine, mimosa and orange flower and is good for a nice relaxing shower or bath – and can even be used in the hair too! The scrub is also really nice and softening on the skin, which is an added bonus, due to all the lovely essential oils used! The lemon juice in it helps to brighten and cleanse, along with the salt. Overall this is one of the better scrubs, and will definitely be a repurchase.

Ren’s Guerande Salt Exfoliating Body Balm

This scrub is very gentle, so perfect if you want an everyday scrub! With sea salt, peppermint and tuscan olive, this is a scrub that will, again, waken you up. This is meant to moisturise, renew and brighten the skin and it does definitely achieve this! For the amount you get, the price isn’t eye-popping either.

Geo. F. Trumper – Extracts of Lime Body Scrub

Lime by name, lime by nature! This scrub is zesty and is definitely one to wake yourself up! This one foams up well and, to me, is more of a shower gel with a scrub in it. My skin was silky smooth and smelt fantastic!
