Premium vodka brand CÎROC has launched its latest limited edition flavour for summer 2021, CÎROC Summer Citrus, presented in a sunset-coloured bottle.
Given the combination in the UK of lockdown restrictions continuing to lift and less-than-ideal weather, it is a perfect opportunity to invite a few fabulous guests inside for a dinner party or a cocktail evening. CÎROC kindly provided us with a bottle, so naturally we got straight to concocting in the kitchen.
We have come up with 3 cocktails that make best use of the zesty taste infused into the CÎROC Summer Citrus vodka, and the smooth taste made it a pleasure to blend. Whether you need a cocktail to summon summer sun memories of Mykonos 2019, or simply to commiserate the nil-points the UK received in this year’s Eurovision song cost, these will leave you wanting another.
CÎROC Citrus Sunrise
Ingredients:
- 1 measure CÎROC Summer Citrus vodka
- ½ measure Triple Sec
- 3 measures Orange Juice
- ½ measure Cranberry juice
Method: Stir the alcohol and and orange juice in a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice. Strain either into a chilled coupé glass or tall glass filled with ice. Gently add the cranberry juice and notice how it settles.
Ideal for those with a slightly sweet tooth.
CÎROC Summer Citrus Martini
Ingredients:
- 2½ measures CÎROC Summer Citrus vodka
- ½ measure dry Vermouth
- 1 dash bitters
- Lemon twist to serve
Method: Add the vodka, vermouth and bitters to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled Martini glass. Serve with a twist of lemon zest.
As a Martini purist, we could not not enjoy the citrus infusion.
CÎROC Summer Citrus Gimlet
Ingredients:
- 2½ measures CÎROC Summer Citrus vodka
- 1 measure lime juice
- 1 measure lemon juice
- Dash of honey
Method: Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled coupé glass.
Admittedly, this last recipe does push the boundaries of a traditional gimlet (made with gin and lime), but the combination of lemon and lime work so well with the CÎROC Summer Citrus vodka.
