Great British Chefs, in collaboration with the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, has launched its first ever Alaska seafood recipe iPad app, available to download for free from the iTunes store.

The app features 60 exclusive new recipes designed by a team of 17 of the UK’s hottest chefs at the moment, so is perfect as a kitchen companion. Pick from nibbles, starter and main courses spanning healthy detox recipes and indulgent dinner party treats, which range in difficulty from easy to challenging.

Recipe highlights include a Macadamia-crusted Alaska black cod fillet with orzo and salsa verde, crafted by Luke Holder; Alaska salmon triadito from Robert Ortiz (who heads up the Peruvian kitchen at Lima restaurant in London); maple-cured Alaska salmon developed by Pascal Aussignac, the man behind Club Gascon; Alaska salmon burger with beetroot from William Drabble (Executive Chef of Seven Park Place and William’s Bar and Bistro in London); and Amritsar-spiced Alaska halibut from Vivek Singh of the Cinnamon Club.

Other contributors to this recipe app include Nigel Mendham, Andy Waters, Adam Gray, Alfred Prasad, Dominic Chapman, Anna Hansen, Francesco Mazzei, Matthew Tomkinson, Dave Watts, Mark Dodson, Graham Campbell and Daniel Galmiche.

Alaska seafood is wild, natural and sustainable, qualities which mean it is packed with nutrients, high in protein and contains no nasties or pesticides.

The Great British Chefs Alaska Seafood App offers inspiring imagery to accompany every recipe, as well as accompanying wine recommendations and the option to view measurements in metric and imperial, to ensure perfect results in the kitchen every time. The recipes feature ingredients such as wild Alaska sockeye salmon is sold in all major supermarkets and delicate black cod, which is available to buy from The Fish Society.
