‘Pass another bottle of Bolly, darling!’ is what you might be hearing a lot more of during the coming week, not just from re-runs of Ab Fab. It is, of course, National Champagne Week from 1-7 October. We at Vada (and believe you should also) take this as a sign to find any excuse to crack open a bottle of champagne (and believe you should also) – no cava or prosecco this week please.
We’ve rounded up three exciting London venues that are offering bubbly cocktails in aid of National Champagne week, so stop by if you’re able.
Rocket restaurants
Holborn, City, Bishopsgate and Canary Wharf locations
Rocket are offering the Grey Goose Fizz which incorporates a tasty mix of Grey Goose vodka, Midori, Passoâ, fresh lemon and a white sugar cube – all topped off with lashings of champagne at just £10.50.
For those who enjoy the finer things in life, they have also introduced the V.I.C. (very important cocktail) which boasts Hedonist Gin mixed with Cazcabel honey, Frafoli, fresh lemon juice, rose water and of course champagne, also priced at £10.50.
Both cocktails will also be available on the happy hour menu during National Champagne Week, which boasts two cocktails for £12. More information is available at rocketrestaurants.co.uk.
Bel & the Dragon
locations across the south of England
Bel & the Dragon will be serving a limited edition champagne cocktail called The Damson Royal. This is made using only the best ingredients which includes Sipsmith Damson Vodka, Chambord liqueur, Rum Bacardi Oakheart and Laurent-Perrier Brut with black cherries – autumn sipping at its best.
On 5 October they will also be holding a champagne masterclass at Reading, Churt, Godalming and Kingsclere. More information is online at belandthedragon.co.uk.
Avista
Grosvenor Square, London
Avista offers customers rustic yet contemporary Italian food alongside an extensive list of cocktails and fine Italian wines. A short walk away from Oxford Street and some of London’s top tourist attractions and theatres, this is the perfect location for a fine dining experience.
The bar serves a wide selection of champagne cocktails including the Frenck: Hennessy cognac shaken with lemon juice and topped with champagne. The perfect way to celebrate National Champagne Week. Visit avistarestaurant.com to book your table.
Whether at home or at one of the bars above, it’s ‘champagne, champagne for everyone’ this week.
