Skylight at Tobacco Dock will be kicking off summer in the city, from 3rd May 2018. Skylight became a popular and imaginative London rooftop destinations last winter thanks to the team at Interact, so we expect this summer to boast a whole host of new additions, improvements and surprises at the rooftop venue.
Entering through an unassuming, converted carpark to the roof of Tobacco Dock in Wapping, Skylight will boast three floors of bars, street food, live entertainment, croquet, pétanque, screens, and DJs. Whether battling it out on the croquet lawn, cheering on a World Cup game or Wimbledon match on the big screen, chilling with a post-work spritz or soaking up a no-filter sunset, Skylight has a summer experience for everyone. Boasting unobstructed views of some of London’s most iconic buildings, including The Shard, The Gherkin and The Walkie Talkie, Skylight arguably has one of the best London rooftop views.
Prices start from £15 for a 30 minutes on the outdoor Pétanque court. For those football fans (yes there are many within the LGBT community), there will also be a penalty shoot-out football game in time for the World Cup.
Bars on each level of Skylight will be serving an all-new refreshing seasonal cocktail menu alongside spritzes, pitchers, bubbly and wine. Ice-cold beers on tap will include Staropramen, Blue Moon, Wolf Rock Red IPA and Sharps Brands. The bars will also feature Aspal Cyder on tap, the full range of Bacardi spirts and Laurent Perrier champagne by the glass and bottle. The newly extended raised platform bar – doubled in size from last year – will have a lounge feel. Panoramically perched, the platform terrace is the city’s best sunset-watching spot.
On the lower level, street food trader Yiro is back and will serve the ultimate summer dishes with their stunning focus on world-flavours.
Entry to Skylight is free, and is open Thursday & Friday 5pm – 11pm, Saturday & Sunday – 12pm – 11pm.
