Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – see our review here – was released in cinemas across the UK on 15th December 2016. One of the set locations for which was the Maldives, which played the backdrop for Scarif.
Without giving any spoilers away, during the film stormtroopers are seen wading through the (Indian) ocean, filmed in the Maldives.
