With all of these amazing places to visit we cannot recommend the city of Stockholm enough and it is certainly an essential destination for every traveller. Indeed this summer also sees Stockholm celebrate its Big Gay Summer, with its acclaimed pride celebration at the end of July and the Euro Games hitting the city just a few days later at the start of August. These two events combined make this an ideal destination for anyone who wants to hit the city for a few weeks of fun and frolics in a relaxed and safe environment which is unlike anything you will have seen before.

Recently Lost Planet released it’s free to download book showing off some of the biggest and bests Pride festival’s all over the world. Imagine my surprise when preparing my notes from Stockholm however, to note that the Swedish capital did not even get a mention even with all of the fine destinations and hard work by locals to make Pride in Stockholm an unforgettable spectacle. It is nothing short of an injustice, and I cannot recommend a trip to this gorgeous city enough especially this year with the combination of Pride and Euro Games.
