This year sees the usual Udderbelly Festival and Wonderground, both based on London’s Southbank, merge into a colossal Underbelly Festival running 28 April to 30 September. As part of the line up, The Black Cat Cabaret and Between The Sheets are performing on selected dates throughout the summer festival.
The Black Cat Cabaret
Parisian-inspired cabaret spectacular and purrrveyors of dark and daring entertainment, The Black Cat Cabaret, return with a spectacular show, breathing new life into the decadent world of vintage Montmartre.
The Black Cat Cabaret made a name for itself as the place to experience modern cabaret in all of its wondrous forms – from the sacred to the profane, the lyrical to the downright louche. Returning to London’s Southbank for a 4th season, the shows take place in a stunning setting that combines theatre-style seating with the thrill of the big top. The 2017 summer run will feature Black Cat Cabaret’s original, “after-hours Montmartre” show, which is returning to Underbelly for the first time since 2014.
Upon entering the glorious, mirrored surroundings of the Underbelly spiegeltent, guests can expect to encounter a merry band of high-kicking showgirls, jaw-dropping acrobats, comic street singers, a fire-breathing siren and daredevil aerialists – all bound together with a belle-époque sense of giddy abandonment.
Black Cat Cabaret’s confirmed dates include 20th May, 2nd June, 8th July, 5th August and 22nd September.

Between The Sheets
A thrill-seekers paradise, Between The Sheets is a tantalising display of late-night cabaret acts performed by an exceptional troupe, hand-picked from the worlds of contemporary burlesque, circus and dance.
Between The Sheets showcases the inimitable and enviable gifts of burlesque superstar Miss Polly Rae. Talented performer, chanteuse, compere and producer, Miss Polly Rae is famed for bringing burlesque to London’s West End in The Hurly Burly Show before continuing her reign at London’s iconic Hippodrome Casino with the Soho Burlesque Club.
For this year’s show on London’s South Bank, Polly is joined by an impressive cast including Beau Rocks, Duo Visage, Lilly Snatchdragon, Tom Cunningham and Myles Brown, as well as the company’s founding member and international wild-child of burlesque, Kitty Bang Bang. Collectively responsible for some of the most glittering, explosive burlesque performances ever seen, they guaranteed to give guests an unforgettable night out.
In the true spirit of burlesque, this risqué romp features an array of sensational acts and hilarious performances. Sparkling with comic naughtiness, Between The Sheets blends comedy with gasp-inducing spectacle, in one high-energy and distinctly modern variety show.
Between The Sheets’ confirmed dates include 15th June, 20th July, 4th August, 25th August, 8th September and 29th September.
