Cocktails in the City, the UK’s biggest cocktail celebration, returns to the capital for another three-day residency on the 30th of March 2017. Perfect for seasoned cocktail aficionados and recent enthusiasts in equal measure, Cocktails in the City invites Londoners to celebrate it’s fifth anniversary with a rich and diverse showcase of the world’s greatest bars, finest drinks and creative bartenders all under one roof.
A fixture on any cocktail lover’s calendar, the spring edition of Cocktails in the City will once again gather 25 of the world’s most exciting, exclusive and famous bars in pop-up form, set to the breathtaking backdrop of One Marylebone, one of London’s most prestigious venues.
Mixing together interactive and diverse drinking experiences, Cocktails in the City takes guests on a whirlwind tour of cocktail exploration. Sip on signature serves and taste-test exceptional concoctions from a handpicked selection of bars from all over the world, including four time winner of world’s best bar The Artesian, new openings such as Soho member’s bar Disrepute, concealed drinking dens London Cocktail Club and Reverend JW Simpson, neighbourhood favourites Three Six Six and The Walrus Room and international bars flying in from Berlin and Scandinavia.
Discover new bars and spirits in the sweeping Grand Hall, blend your own bespoke gin with London micro- distillery Sacred in the enchanted garden, shake up a storm with the city’s finest bartenders, or learn to create the ultimate Rum Punch with The Duppy Share (read our previous review here) at this immersive weekend-long cocktail party.
This year, Cocktails in the City is excited to play host to three Nordic bars from Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm. In collaboration with Woodford Reserve, these three bars will bring their sought after ‘Hygge’ drinking experience to London for one weekend only, creating a trio of beautiful Scandinavian inspired pop-up bars on the 2nd floor of One Marylebone.
Cocktails in the City takes guests on a sensory tour through London’s drinks scene in one night, without even having to leave the building, with bars including Gaucho & Stolichnaya Premium Vodka Himkok (Oslo) & Woodford Reserve, Reverend JW Simpson & Angosturo Amaro Ruby (Copenhagen) & Woodford Reserve The Four and The Walrus Room & Bols Genever. Signature trends to look out for are in-house infusions with bartenders going back to traditional methods of curing, and infusing flavours into the spirits, a focus on natural and foraged flavours, and drinking more greens i.e. replacing some of the sweeter fruit choices in cocktails with vegetables and vegetable juice.

The event will run in London from 30th March – 1st April from 6 – 11.30pm with other locations and dates announces on the website. Tickets are priced at £15 and include a cocktail, further cocktails priced at £7.50.
