Manchester drag legend Grace Oni Smith and fetish artist Sly Hands bring a brand new night to the city’s Gay Village – Glitter Pig!
Conceived as a fantasia of queer fetish for Manchester’s most glamorous kinks, the night kicks off on Sunday 24 August (Manchester Pride Big Weekend) at the Sackville Lounge, Sackville Street.
Glitter Pig is a unique new clubbing experience coming to the Manchester scene bringing together the opulent glamour of Grace Oni Smith and the dark fetishism of Sly Hands. This unique new night will give you the opportunity to live out your fantasies – whatever they may be – and dance the night away to ultra slick disco vibes.
The Glitter Pig dress code strives to avoid narrow limitations and encourage individual imagination as diverse as the city’s queer scene. This modern fetish night is less like an adult fancy dress party and more about metamorphosis and transformation. And it’s not just just about the rubber or leather either.
Many of the best outfits at Glitter Pig will be made by those wearing them or assembled from various second hand articles (e.g., theatrical costume or uniforms). So if you can’t afford rubber or leather gear then explore your subconscious – or even try body paint!
The organisers have asked punters to keep in mind that if your outfit wouldn’t turn heads in the street, you shouldn’t bother to wear it to Glitter Pig. No street wear (such as jeans and T-shirts) or cheap fancy dress will be allowed. Nothing says pride like living out your fantasies and experiencing a new side of yourself!
Entry is free before 11.30pm and is only £5 after. Dress code applies.
