In this special edition of the Esquire Literary Club, Manchester’s LGBT collective Young Enigma presents an evening of spoken word and oral testimony set to music. Drawn from local interviews, the music and lyrics layer the human voices of Manchester’s gay village into a sparkling chorus of celebration, reflection and humour.

Composer and musician Nikki Franklin (noise-monger.com) joins these emerging artists for this extra special work-in-progress event.

The evening will include a showcase of new work from the writers, performers and artists of Young Enigma. For more information visit youngenigma.com.

Participants can take part in the interview sessions, and have their words and voices captured as part of the project, by dropping into City Library between 9am and 5pm on the same day.
