J. K. Rowling has offered Potter fans an update on the worlds most famous Wizard, Harry Potter. Today on the website Pottermore, Rowling published the latest instalment in the format of a news story by Rita Skeeter in the Daily Prophet.
Following the suprise story release the Harry Potter site crashed. This latest instalment is the first time JK Rowling has written about the famous trio as adults since the final Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which was published in 2007. Rowling herself has often expressed she has little interest in continuing the story focusing on the boy-wizard, however, this new story provides more details about the characters after the story’s end focusing on the adult characters as they appeared in Rowling’s controversial epilogue.
We won’t ruin any of the fun with spoilers, so please if you are a Potter-head go check out this exciting installment, and let yourself wonder about the mysterious cut on Harry’s cheek, and what happened to his close friends Ron and Hermione, now married and raising a family.
