Gay men everywhere will be letting out a depressed little sigh as the dishy Kieron Richardson announces his engagement to his long term boyfriend in an interview with the British press.
In an interview with The Mirror, the 28 year-old actor said:
I just got engaged. It’s really exciting. We’ve been together for over seven years so it’s not a shock. Depending on storylines we’re hoping to squeeze it in next year. I don’t want it to be a cold wedding, but then I don’t want to be too hot, so it’ll be spring.”
The actor who plays the role of resident bad boy made good, Ste Hay, went on to add: “I want there to be a few surprises on the day. Not even my mum knows some of the things I have in mind.”
The recent announcement is good news following a trying time for Richardson as a mix up between him and a similarly named footballer led to an outpouring of homophobic comments. However, we are tickled pink for the young couple and can’t wait to here more about some of these ‘surprises on the day’ as the details come out.
Richardson came out in 2010 revealing on British television show, This Morning that he was gay and had accepted it since he was 20 years-old.
