Radio host Iain Lee encounters homophobia in Luton

Radio host Iain Lee decided to do an experiment into homophobia and public displays affection. He held his friend Justin Dealey’s hand while walking through the streets of Luton, UK.

Lee decided to conduct this experiment after having a conversation on his talk show, where a young man called in to explain that he suffered homophobic abuse while holding his boyfriend’s hand.

The homophobia they received came in various forms – from people staring, a dad hiding his child from the two men, and, finally, to one teen exclaiming, ‘It’s disgusting. It’s just not right.’

What do you think about Lee’s experiment and its results?
