There is still a painstakingly-long five months to wait until the new season of Game of Thrones is upon us, but HBO know how to satisfy those hunger pangs. They have released several new pieces of merchandise to help tie over the wait. Details of two of these new releases can be found below.
The Game of Thrones: Living Language Guide to Dothraki allows readers to learn vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and cultural notes on the Dothraki language which was created entirely for the show. This official guide was complied by David J. Peterson, a language and culture consultant, and it contains more than 500 words and phrases for you to master. Some of them are entirely new words coined for this book and will not have been heard on screen. You’ll learn many tidbits about the Dothraki language in this guide. Whatever you do, never call a Dothraki warrior an ifak (walker).
Priced at £16.99, the Game of Thrones: Living Language Guide to Dothraki can be bought online at the HBO Shop.
Also available is Inside HBO’s Game of Thrones: Seasons 3 & 4, a sequel to the bestseller Inside HBO’s Game of Thrones. This official companion book takes viewers directly inside of the show to find out behind-the-scenes information on special effects, set photos, production designs and in-depth examinations of several scenes and plot points. All of this is aided by the show’s cast and crew. This is a must for any fan of Game of Thrones.
Priced at £20.00, Inside HBO’s Game of Thrones can be bought at the HBO Shop.
