Think Bourne & Hollingsworth, and cocktails, prohibition parties and speakeasy bars spring to mind – it is, after all, one of our favourite hangouts in London. So what does this cocktail conjuring company have to do with National Burger Day?
On 25 August (National Burger Day) Bourne & Hollingsworth will launch their new cookery school in Clerkenwell, in the B&H Kitchen. The Clerkenwell Lunch Club (the opening event) is planned to take place every Thursday from the Thursday 25 August at 12.30pm. In this first session, burger lovers are invited to reclaim their lunch break, and come down to prepare a delicious lunch in a relaxed (and hopefully sunny) setting. The cooking class only takes 30 minutes and is perfect for those looking to make the most of their break from the office.
In the first of these hands on sessions, Adam Gray (B&H’s executive chef) will help participants prepare their very own B&H Burger with spicy sweet potato wedges in the informal kitchen setting. Once lunch is made, guests can sit down to eat at the beautiful farmhouse table, with a non-alcoholic cocktail courtesy of the B&H bartenders downstairs.
Oh, and did we mention that this is one of the prettiest venues in London?
Tickets are priced at £18 and available via bandhkitchen.com.
