Shygirl, Nymph

It’s taken over five years for Shygirl to release her debut album proper, following her highly revered EPs Cruel Practice (2018) and Alias (2020). But Nymph is finally here and it’s surprisingly diverse. Sexy, dead-eyed vocals and otherworldly, ultra-harsh electro soundscapes are Shygirl’s signature. But here there are tweaks to that formula that establish this outlier as a more three-dimensional and enduring performer than you’d expected.
