Rico Nasty, Las Ruinas

Rico Nasty’s impact has really become evident over the last few years and her cartoonish, hyper-energised signature has been adopted by other young artists. Las Ruinas is more riotous than any other Rico Nasty record thus far, and her experimentation with dance music is broader here, embracing more styles. There is also real vulnerability and heart on this album, showing an artist constantly curious and evolving.

About John Preston

South London based music obsessive with strong opinions about most things. Doubts Madonna has another good record in her but would love more than anything to be proved wrong.
