Hyd, Clearing
A strong artistic statement, Hyd’s first full length album veers towards the serious and substantial which, for one of PC music’s earliest artist, might be a surprise. Amongst all of the steel and hard edges, brilliant songs rise up, with Hyd’s vocals clear and mixed high. The impact is considerable. Lyrically, there is real heart here and Clearing is one of the most striking and consistent electronic albums released this year.
