On Tuesday 20 September, new opening Heist Bank brings together two Netflix and chill favourites – pizza and beer – for an informal tasting evening. Embracing their beer-geekiness, the team at Heist Bank will pair three of their best beers with slices of inventively topped, wood-fired pizza and share them with you lovely lot.
Heist Bank’s resident beer expert, Daniel Pavey alongside esteemed guest speakers from Fourpure, Woolfpack and Wild Beer Co. and the knowledgeable Heist Bank team will take guests on informal explorations of their chosen pairings. Wolfpack Lager will be aptly paired with the salty punch of ‘Culatello, Fennel & Garlic Salami’ pizza. Fourpure’s mango, papaya and bitter orange Juice box IPA will provide an accompaniment to the zingy ‘Lamb, Preserved Lemon and Brockley Feta’ pizza. The decadent Millionaire Milk Stout from Wild Beer Co makes a sweet and salty companion to the ‘Chocolate, Raspberry and Crème Fraiche Pizza’.
Heist Bank specialises in pizzas cooked to perfection in their Italian wood-burning oven topped with seasonal ingredients such as smoked sausage, hispi cabbage and smashed peas with Rosary goats cheese. With beer as a focus, Heist Bank offers 12 local brews on draft, from the likes of Magic Rock, Beavertown and Siren, which are also available to take out in Growlers.
Bringing something new to the Paddington basin, the newly opened restaurant and bar boasts a custom-built pool table, an Art Deco French football table and walls covered in urban artwork. The evening will take place in the relaxed Games Room from 7-9pm and guests will feel at home amid the slouchy chairs, karaoke machine, old Nintendos and self-service beer kegs. Tickets are £15 and include 3 beers and pizza slices to pair.
