Six reasons to visit Switzerland – right now

With holidays back on, there’s never been a better time to think about where you want to go to next! And we’ve come up with six reasons why travelling to Switzerland should be at the top of the list.

1. Mountains and lakes

The stunning scene of shimmering blue lakes mirroring the gigantic mountains has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The sheer size of the mountains will soon make you realise just how small we all are in the universe.

2. Many cultures

There are four cultures within Switzerland, all talking four different languages! With such a great mix of culture and diversity in one small country, there’s plenty of great food, music, art and architectural styles to enjoy.

3. Numerous breweries

If you like beer, then you will love all of the various breweries across the country, each different from the last!

4. Rivella

We have been told that this drink ‘can’t compare’ but it doesn’t get exported out of the country at all! So, there’s only one solution, you will just have to go to Switzerland to find out if that’s true or not.

5. R&R

Close to ‘rest and relaxation’ but we mean ‘remoteness and relaxation’! There’s so much space around the country and within all of the nature and natural spaces, you’ll be feeling like the only person there (unless you go with a special someone else of course).

6. Cheese and chocolate trains

And my personal favourite: there are two trains from Geneva which are more than just a train ride. One specialises in an indulgent chocolate experience while the other oozes with a delicious cheese experience!
