For those living in or near South London, it is common knowledge that Two Brewers gay bar in Clapham has been closed for the past week. Following a £250k investment for refurbishment, the bar is set to re-open on 20 October with cabaret sensations.
The LGBT-friendly bar is expected to present updated décor throughout, with brand-new booth seating and a shiny new bar area. We don’t have any preview photos yet at Vada, so suggest readers head over to the Two Brewers from this weekend to take a look for themselves.
Known for its drag and DJ performances, the opening weekend will be nothing but the best for the Two Brewers’ loving fans. On Saturday, chuck on your glad-rags and glitter (but not that ASOS shirt that everyone bought this summer), to get down to two DJs and listen to none other than Britain’s Got Talent, Danny Beard, who will be tearing up the stage come midnight. If that doesn’t get those dancing feet moving, then the rest of the launch parties will no doubt make you wanting more. In support of LGBT-friendly football club, Titans FC, the Halloween Ball will feature acts from Cabaret sensations, Mary Mac and Alison Jiear, with a bingo special edition on 29 October, hosted by Mrs Moore, and Scaryoke on 30 October. We hope it’s not scary from the calibre of the karaoke singing.
The lineup of daily favourites will be here to stay with, Karaoke every Tuesday, quiz nights every Wednesday and your notorious Cabaret Acts every night of the week from 11:30pm. What’s more, expect happy hours Sunday-Friday with selected drinks from £3 all week long!
The Two Brewers is open Sun-Weds 5pm-2am, Thurs 5pm-3am, Fri-Sat 5pm-4am
Two Brewers is located at 114 Clapham High St, London, SW4 7UJ
