So we all remember and love the Shanks and Bigfoot classic, ‘Sweet Like Chocolate’. Well, I woke up this morning to find that ex N’Dubz singer and X Factor judge, Tulisa has done a cover. Should I be worried or excited? I thought to myself.
There are a few things the original does better (such as, I don’t know, everything), and it feels like the track is out of time. I know it’s a cover, but I couldn’t even join in with the chorus properly… and I prefer having an animated music video, in all honesty.
But, if you would like to see how wrong it can all go when you cover a classic, then this is the track for you… Just make sure to listen to the original to make your brain happy again.
